"The Geranium Ann Thompson produces gold tinted foliage that forms a low mound. The dark magenta flowers are one inch wide. This plant needs to be cut back in early summer to encourage a repeat bloom in the fall. They are drought tolerant, and need a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. They have dark green foliage and a height of six to eight inches with a width of nearly three feet. This plant is very disease and deer resistant, and will also attract bees and butterflies. This is a great plant for the beginning gardener."
