Arneria pseudarmeria 'formosa' "The Armeria Formosa Pinkball Thrift, `Arneria pseudarmeria formosa,' produces one to two inch round flowers that are in shades of pink, rose and red. This plant is much like the common Sea Thrift, but is bigger and a hardy perennial. This plant will bloom in the spring for about four to eight weeks. In a milder climactic region, they have the ability to bloom year round. The seeds should be planted in the spring, about two to four weeks before the last average frost date, or in late summer/early fall at least two months before the first average fall frost date. The Kwanzan Flowering Cherry Tree, `Prunus serrulata Kwanzan,' will rapidly grow to its mature height of twenty to thirty feet. This deciduous tree is one of the most popular flowering cherry trees available on the market. It has clear pink, double blooms, with multiple petals like a carnation. The flowering period is three weeks long. Once the blooms have been spent, they will give way to light green foliage that has a red tinge. This beautiful ornamental flowering tree is also known as the Japanese Flowering Cherry Tree.
The Artemisia Silver Brocade, `Artemisia stelleriana,' is a compact, silver-white perennial plant with a height of fifteen inches and a spread of over two feet. This wooly plant produces yellow flowers in early summer that are not very showy. This plant prefers sandy soil but does need a well drained location with full sunlight and a small amount of afternoon shade. This plant can be paired with Echinacea Purple Coneflower or Rudbeckia Black Eyed Susan to add interest to any garden or accent fresh or dried flower arrangements.
The Angel Face Rose is a garden variety of rose that has a very well balanced Old Rose scent. An AARS winner in 1969, Angel Face plants are beautiful with their ruffled lavender pink blossoms and beautiful buds. The blooms make magnificent cut flowers.
