Atropurpurea Phlox

Phlox subulata 'Atropurpurea'
"The Phlox Atropurpurea, `Phlox subulata,' produces masses of tiny, wine red flowers over a thick mat of semi-evergreen foliage. This ideal groundcover will bloom from April to May. The plants grow to a height of four to six inches with a spread of up to eighteen inches. This should be a definite addition to any perennial garden. Phlox should be planted in full sunlight in a well draining soil. Plant it in rock garden, as a spread over short retaining walls, or in difficult edges of dry streambeds."
