"The Eggplant Baby Bambino, `Solanum melongena (Hybrid),' is the perfect addition to hors d'oeuvres, shish kabobs and other eggplant dishes. The fruits will only grow to one inch in size. This plant also makes a very attractive ornamental. This variety is better than most full sized eggplants, in that Bambino does not have the bitter flavor that many larger types will acquire. This is a tasty and attractive addition to any vegetable garden. Eggplants prefer a rich, deep, loose soil with lots of organic material. One inch of water should be applied weekly if it does not rain."
