"The Alyssum Basket of Gold Compacta, `Aurina saxatilis,' produces dense clusters of golden-yellow flowers in the spring. This water-wise groundcover is tight, compact and very attractive. This is a special dwarf variety of Basket of Gold. It looks perfect in combination with red tulips, blue phlox and candytuft. The seeds should be planted in the spring, two to four weeks before the average last frost date or in the fall. Basket of Gold Compacta is excellent for rock gardens, in hanging baskets or as a groundcover."
