The Bitternut Pecan goes by many different names, including Bitternut Hickory, Bitter Pecan Tree, Bitter Pignut, Butternut, Butternut Hickory, Highland Hickory, Pig Hickory, Pignut, Pig Walnut, Redheart Hickory, Swamp Hickory, White Hickory and Yellow Bud Hickory."
