"The Tomato Pole Black Krim, `Lycopersicon lycopersisum,' is a very heavy producer that will even be able to set fruit during heat as well as other adverse conditions. This is an early, rich flavored old heirloom tomato that originated in the Crimean peninsula of Russia. The plants will produce nice sized, black, beefsteak tomatoes with a rich, earthly, almost smoky flavor. This variety is an intermediate tomato, which means that the plant will continue to produce until the first frost. The plants should always be pruned in order to maintain a single stem."
