Begonia Spectrum Ann plants, `Begonia x hybrida,' are wonderfully flowering plants that grow well in the garden as well as patio containers. This variety is a cross between the winter flowering and tuberous summer flowering varieties of Begonia. Spectrum Ann Begonias are distinguished by their large, flowers that are double and a light salmon pink in color. More that a half day of sunlight will cause the plants to dry out, as too much shade will cause the plants to become soft and less showy in bloom.
The Fuji Apple is a wonderful all around fruit. The apples are super sweet, super juicy and super crisp. They are quite possibly the best snacking apple available. The fruits are aromatic, sweet and crisp with a very firm texture. The Fuji apple's appearance varies from yellowish green with red highlights to mostly red in color. The spicy crisp sweetness gives it an exceptional eating quality. Perfect for fresh salads, the Fuji is becoming an apple with a very large consumer base.
The Heuchera Amethyst Myst, `Heuchera x Amethys Myst,' is also known as the Coral Bell or Alumroot. This plant has unique, deep purple foliage that is dusted with silver, unlike the other burgundies of its family. During the spring, its light pink flowers will appear, remaining into the summer. However, these plants are more known for their lovely foliage than their blooms. They look especially great in borders, woodland edges, rock gardens or in mass to form a ground cover. This plant is perfect for a beginning gardener.
