"The Blue Chinese Wisteria, `Wisteria sinensis,' is most valued for its pendulous clusters of very fragrant, violet-blue flowers. This shade tolerant vine will only bloom when grown in partial to full sunlight. After flowering, this wisteria produces very attractive, velvety seedpods. This twining, woody vine is great for growing over arbors, fences and patios. Its leaves are composed of seven to thirteen leaflets of large size. This vine is best used for training to grow onto an arbor, where its flowers will naturally droop to form a fragrant ceiling of color."
