Blue Rug Juniper

Juniperus horizantalis
"The Juniper Blue Rug, `Juniperus horizontalis Wiltonii,' is the lowest growing of all Juniper plants, and will even be able to cascade over walls. It receives its name from is silver-blue color and low-growing habit. This is an excellent ground cover or bank planting that produces a thick mat of foliage. It will grow well in almost any well draining soil with moderate moisture levels. Young shoots may be pruned to encourage branching, but older branches might not produce new growth."
