Bright Gem Species Tulip

Tulipa species 'Bright Gem'

"The Tulip 'Bright Gem', 'Tulipa species', a fall planted bulb, produce yellow flowers on short stems. The Species Tulips are rarely planted in large masses because their main feature is their uniqueness. Species Tulips are suitable for rock gardens and small group plantings, and they prefer to be left in the ground to multiply naturally. Species tulips are the wildflowers of the tulip family, and these hardy Species tulips require less work. The leaves should not be cut back until they begin to yellow. This permits bulbs to recharge before going summer-dormant."

Snowstorm Bacopa

Snowstorm Bacopa

Bacopa Snowstorm, `Sutera hybrids,' is a Proven Selections plant and an instant hit with gardeners.  These plants are incredibly versatile and vigorous.  The growth habit makes it unbeatable for filling in bare spots in the garden and small pots.  Snowstorm plants have large, white flowers and are extra vigorous.  This plant has a bushier and more vigorous upright habit than many other varieties of Sutera.  The soil should be kept moist and well drained, as flowers will drop easily if the plant is not provided enough moisture.  In zones nine through eleven, they can also be used as a perennial.

Silver Brocade

Silver Brocade

The Artemisia Silver Brocade, `Artemisia stelleriana,' is a compact, silver-white perennial plant with a height of fifteen inches and a spread of over two feet.  This wooly plant produces yellow flowers in early summer that are not very showy.  This plant prefers sandy soil but does need a well drained location with full sunlight and a small amount of afternoon shade.  This plant can be paired with Echinacea Purple Coneflower or Rudbeckia Black Eyed Susan to add interest to any garden or accent fresh or dried flower arrangements.

Angel Face Rose

Angel Face Rose

The Angel Face Rose is a garden variety of rose that has a very well balanced Old Rose scent.  An AARS winner in 1969, Angel Face plants are beautiful with their ruffled lavender pink blossoms and beautiful buds.  The blooms make magnificent cut flowers.  The somewhat short plants only reach a height of two to three feet.
