Its common name comes from the appearance of the flowers, which look like a pincushion full of pins. They gray green foliage makes a wonderful complement to the blooms. With a mature height of one foot and a spread of twelve to eighteen inches, this plant is perfect for planting in front of a border. This disease resistant flower was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 2000."
