California White Linen Poppy

Eschscholzia californica
"The California Poppy White Linen, `Eschscholzia californica,' is a perennial flower that is most often grown as an annual. The flowers are solid white, silky and saucer shaped, and look stunning either alone or planted with Orange or Mikado Poppies. The foliage of this plant will often overwinter in zones seven through eleven. The two to three inch flowers have four delicate petals each. Commonly used as a cut flower or in the prevention of soil erosion, the seed of an Orange Poppy should be planted in the fall of warmer climates for impressive spring color."
