"The Salvia Caradonna, `Salvia nemorosa,' features glowing purple stems that are loaded with violet purple flowers from June through October. Its gray-green aromatic foliage makes a wonderful accent during the summer. This Salvia was awarded the Outstanding New Perennial in 2000 by the International Hardy Plant Union. This plant is hardy for container gardening, as well as providing excellent cut flowers. Its blooms look fantastic next to Sedum `Matrona,' Achillea `Coronation Gold,' and Salvia `Snow Hill.'"
