Cascadia Snap Pea

Pisum sativum

"The Pea Snap Cascadia, `Pisum sativum,' will produce multitudes of three-inch, deep green pea pods that are thick, juicy and very flavorful. This is quite possibly the best snap pea since the Sugar Ann, and the pods as well as the peas are edible. When grown in a home garden, Cascadia will have a much better taste than any peas bought in a store. Snap peas were first produced in the 70's, and have since steadily rose in popularity by home gardeners. The pods should be harvested when they are plump, as overly mature pods can cause a plant to cease production."
