"The Holly Castle Spire, `Ilex v. Castle Spire,' has a compact and pyramidal form that will reach a height of eight to ten feet while never getting more than three feet wide. This is a relatively new variety of blue holly, and is most commonly used in foundation plantings. This narrow form of this Proven Winners selection makes it ideal for use as a hedge or specimen planting. Its lustrous green foliage will provide for season long interest. The bright red berries produced in the autumn will persist to add color to the winter landscape."
