Chaters Double Hollyhock

Alcea rosea
"The Hollyhock Chater's Double, `Alcea rosea,' produces tall towers of peony-shaped double flowers in colors of yellow, purple, red, pink, apricot and white. This plant looks fantastic when grown against a fence or wall. The five inch flowers could have been seen in many an English garden in the mid 1800's. This Hollyhock will begin to flower in the early summer and continue to do so for up to three months. It will look great as a background screen, and the flowers, as well as being edible, make great cut or dried flowers."
