"The Cleome Cherry Queen, `Cleome spinosa,' is very easy to grow and will lend authority to any garden. Its flower clusters are three to six inches across, and are a deep carmine-rose color with golden buds. This is a knockout plant that will easily attract butterflies. Cleome plants bloom from late July until the first fall frost, and can be hardy if grown in a protected site. They can add strong vertical impact in island beds, replacing trees or shrubs. Cherry Queen should be planted in full sunlight for best results."
