Chestnut Crabapple Tree

"The Chestnut Crabapple tree is an excellent pollinator for other fruit apple trees. It blooms in early to mid-May, and produces a very large crabapple, up to two inches in diameter. The fruits ripen in early September, and have a pleasant, nut-like flavor. The outstanding flavor and good texture of the fruits make this tree just as good for eating as it is at pollinating other fruit trees. This tree is very hardy and the fruits have a medium storage life. The fruit quality holds very well on the tree."
