"The Chestnut Oak Tree, `Quercus prinus,' is a slow growing and long-lived tree. This native deciduous tree is medium sized. The dark and very rough bark is a characteristic of an Oak tree. When mature, this bark is commonly broken into long, V-shaped ridges that are separated by deep furrows.
