Common Snowball Bush

Viburnum opulus

"The Common Snowball Bush, `Viburnum opulus,' is a deciduous, thicket-forming Old World shrub. Also called the European Cranberry bush, this shrub produces white flowers in late spring. During the autumn months, the foliage will turn to a wonderful burgundy reddish-purple color. At about the same time, its bright red, attractive berries will ripen, and remain on the plant throughout the winter. This rounded plant with masses of flowers is enjoyed by children and adults alike. It will grow best in full sunlight to partial shade."
