"The Frobeli Spirea, `Spirea x bumalda,' is a vigorous grower that produces bright, purplish-pink flowers in June and July. Its new foliage is purple colored, and the flowers are bright pink to red. In the spring, the foliage has purplish tips. Its leaves will turn to a purple color in the fall, providing a striking display. This is an upright, rounded shrub that works great as a small hedge.
