Grandiflora Hydrangea

Hydrangea paniculata
"The Grandiflora Hydrangea, `Hydrangea paniculata,' came to America from Japan in 1861. Since then, it has become a common addition to American gardens, and is highly valued for its vigor and dependability of bloom. It sterile flowers will appear in August, and persist until the first hard frost. The large, conical-shaped white flower heads will turn to a pink color in the autumn with gray-green leaves. This is still one of the best-loved varieties of Hydrangea. The plants grow to a height of over six feet at maturity and the blooms can be easily dried for decorations."
