Granny Smith Apple Tree

"The Granny Smith apple has been in cultivation for one hundred and fifty years. This apple, as many will attest to, should not be cooked, but instead eaten raw. This apple is perfect for when a juicy burst of tartness is desired. The apples grown on this tree are supermarket size, up to three inches in diameter. Planted in the yard, the sweet and hearty apples will ripen in early November. This apple is also known for keeping its zesty flavor, even when it is used for cooking or has been saut‚ed."

Spectrum Ann Begonia

Spectrum Ann Begonia

Begonia Spectrum Ann plants, `Begonia x hybrida,' are wonderfully flowering plants that grow well in the garden as well as patio containers.  This variety is a cross between the winter flowering and tuberous summer flowering varieties of Begonia.  Spectrum Ann Begonias are distinguished by their large, flowers that are double and a light salmon pink in color.  More that a half day of sunlight will cause the plants to dry out, as too much shade will cause the plants to become soft and less showy in bloom.

Orchid Frost Lamium

Orchid Frost Lamium

The Lamium Orchid Frost, `Lamium maculatum,' has beautiful oval shaped foliage that is bluish green in color with silvery edges.  The short, spiked clear pale pink flowers make it a very attractive ground cover.  It has a plant height of six inches and a spread of up to two feet.  The flowers bloom from May to July.  Lamuim should be grown in hanging baskets, mixed containers, trailing over walls or as an edger.  Its spread must be controlled.  This plant looks great among hostas, ferns, bulbs and wildflowers.

Angel Face Rose

Angel Face Rose

The Angel Face Rose is a garden variety of rose that has a very well balanced Old Rose scent.  An AARS winner in 1969, Angel Face plants are beautiful with their ruffled lavender pink blossoms and beautiful buds.  The blooms make magnificent cut flowers.  The somewhat short plants only reach a height of two to three feet.
