"The Honeycrisp apple is a very high quality fruit which will be able to keep well for five to six months in regular storage. The tree is one of the most vigorous and hardy of all the apple trees, and shows little damage at -40 degrees. The tree should be thinned heavily. Its cream colored flesh is course in texture. The sub-acid flavor ranges from mild and well-balanced to strongly aromatic, depending on the degree of maturity. This is a great eating apple, and it develops is full aromatic flavor if harvest is suspended until mid October."
