"The Poplar Hybrid Tree, `Populus Hybrid,' is a fast growing tree. Under average and normal conditions, it can grow up to six feet per year. In just three years, it will be about twenty feet tall and fifteen feet wide, and will reach a mature height of over seventy feet. The Poplar Hybrid tree is wind, disease and insect resistant and can grow in the cold as far north as Canada. Living from thirty to fifty years, it is often used to reforest an area after a fire, or to reclaim land after strip mining. In landscape situations, it is usually grown as a hedge, screen, windbreak or street tree."
