Southern Lady Fern

Athyrium asplenioides

"The Lady Fern, `Athyrium asplenioides,' is also called the Red Stem Fern. It has feathery textured fronds with red stems. This is a slow spreading fern, and will make a nice mass in a few years. The Southern Lady Fern will thrive in the garden with any reasonably good soil and will make a dense stand over time. It prefers wet soil. This fern is commonly used for container plantings, borders, foundation planting, massing and groundcover applications. This fern is perennial and deciduous, and pairs perfectly with evergreen shrubs and hostas."

Zumi Crabapple

Zumi Crabapple

The Zumi Crabapple Tree, `Malux x Zumi Calocarpa,' is a semi-dwarf crabapple that may be used as a street tree.  It is most valued for its profuse, spring flowering of fragrant, white blooms and its small, glossy, bright red fruit.  The crabapples will mature in the autumn, and likely persist into December.  It is very effective when planted as a background for other early flowering plants.  It is also commonly grown near fences, in groups as a screen or as a specimen planting in a lawn or patio.

Orchid Frost Lamium

Orchid Frost Lamium

The Lamium Orchid Frost, `Lamium maculatum,' has beautiful oval shaped foliage that is bluish green in color with silvery edges.  The short, spiked clear pale pink flowers make it a very attractive ground cover.  It has a plant height of six inches and a spread of up to two feet.  The flowers bloom from May to July.  Lamuim should be grown in hanging baskets, mixed containers, trailing over walls or as an edger.  Its spread must be controlled.  This plant looks great among hostas, ferns, bulbs and wildflowers.

Angel Face Rose

Angel Face Rose

The Angel Face Rose is a garden variety of rose that has a very well balanced Old Rose scent.  An AARS winner in 1969, Angel Face plants are beautiful with their ruffled lavender pink blossoms and beautiful buds.  The blooms make magnificent cut flowers.  The somewhat short plants only reach a height of two to three feet.
