"The Forsythia Sunrise, `Forsythia x Sunrise,' is a deciduous shrub that is most commonly noted for its colorful yellow flowers in the spring that appear before the foliage emerges. Also known as Border Forsythia or Golden Bell, this wonderful shrub is very easy to grow and will take well to transplanting. Its only requirements for strong growth are a sunny location and a well-drained soil. It will work for container plantings, borders, and as a specimen or groundcover. After the flowing period, pruning this Forsythia will keep it compact and help to thin it out. It will display a purple fall foliage color."
