Teddy Bear Sunflower

Helianthus annuus
"The Teddy Bear Sunflower, `Helianthus annuus,' produces large, four to six inch double golden yellow flowers that resemble huge mums. This dwarf sunflower plant blooms from mid-summer to fall. Teddy Bear Sunflowers are annuals and drought tolerant, but good soil moisture should be provided for larger and more profuse flowers. Sowing the seeds three different times, each two weeks apart, will allow for attractive foliage and flowers that last until the first fall frost. This excellent garden plant can be used for short borders."
