"The Spirea Tor, `Spiraea betuliflia,' produces tiny white flower clusters that are set against a backdrop of deep green leaves. This display is almost iridescent during the summer months. This compact shrub will reach a height and width of two to three feet. Its foliage will turn to a deep, purplish-red during the fall months. Spireas are distinguished by the size, bloom color and season of bloom. They all have small leaves that grow on fine, twiggy branches. The shrubs also become very drought tolerant once they are established."
