Vancouver Centennial Geranium

Pelargonium x hortorum

"The Geranium Vancouver Centennial, `Pelargonium x hortorum,' is excellent for landscapes, and produces beautiful orange red flowers. The leaves resemble the Canadian Maple leaf. Providing a mass of season long color, these plants are commonly used as a bedding or container plant that is grown in almost every region of the country. The plants feature succulent leaves and stems. Geraniums should be planted in ordinary well-drained soil. Too much fertilization will result in excessive foliage with fewer flowers. To promote extra bushiness, the shoots should be pinched off. Deadheading of spend flowers will promote enhanced flowering."
