Hamamelis vernalis "The Vernal Witch-Hazel, `Hamamelis vernalis,' has a rounded habit and typically grows to six to ten feet in height with a somewhat larger spread. This deciduous, winter-flowering shrub produces fragrant, globular bloom clusters with variable colors. Most flower, however, frequently have yellow petals and reddish inner calyxes.
