Virginia Creeper

Parthenocissus quinquefolia
"The Virginia Creeper, `Parthenocissus quinquefolia,' is a fast growing and high climbing vine. It attaches itself to the climbing medium with tendrils that appear disk-like at their tips. Its leaves are deciduous and radiate outwards from the leaf stem, like spokes on a wheel. Each of the leaflets is about three to seven inches long, and an inch or two wide. If there is nothing for this plant to climb up, it will attach itself to the ground, and makes a wonderful ground cover for slopes."
