White Icicle Radish

Raphanus sativus

"The Radish White Icicle, `Raphanus sativus,' is very easy to grow and is somewhat early for a summer radish. This is a very attractive, show-white and tapered radish that features a mild flavor. White Icicle will be able to produce a crop when spring radishes would not. Its mild flavor is simply perfect for eating fresh or added to salads and sandwiches. The edible flower tops and can also be added to salads. Radishes grow best in a loose, light soil that is free of clumps and rocks. Harvest the radishes when they are about five inches long, because larger radishes become pithy and hot."
