"The Hosta Wide Brim, `Hosta undulata,' has heart shaped leaves, deep blue green in color that feature irregular margins of cream with gold tints. This plant produces lavender flowers, which bloom from July into August. Hostas are not grown only for their flowers. Most people grow Hostas to provide color and life in shady areas of the garden that other plants will not necessarily thrive in. This Hosta grows to a height of twenty inches and a spread of up to three feet. A great choice for any beginner gardener, this perennial requires little care and can be grown in a variety of situations, including pots and patios."
